Changemaking

We believe that how we act as an organisation can create change, whether this is the way that we build relationships, how we talk about the work that we do, or how we centre trust in our funding practice.

We also proactively look for opportunities to make change through:

1.

Supporting grassroots groups and community organisers in their efforts.

We will be led by what each group or person tells us they want. For example, we have supported groups by attending meetings with the Local Authority to take notes and ask open questions to help them think through next steps and we have supported groups to think through their campaign strategy.

2.

Showing what's possible

We take opportunities to talk about our work and demonstrate where we have had impact with other funders and infrastructure bodies. This means we offer alternative ways of working and showing what is possible, as well as asking questions in such a way that encourages organisations to think critically about the way that they work.

3.

Campaigning

Where we think that our work will be strengthened through campaigning directly, we will do this.
