Practical Support
One-to-one support and solidarity
No one can do this work alone. From talking to community organisers and activists, we've found that listening, understanding, and sharing ideas is one of the most needed and sought-after types of support.

We offer a helping hand through one-to-one sessions and are led by what each person or group might need. Whether this is thinking through how to bring money in, choosing whether to register as a charity or not, getting campaigns off the ground, improving communications, or simply working out what’s next.

We're also happy to talk to those who know what change they want to see, but don't know where to begin, and we understand how helpful it can be to simply have someone to bounce ideas off.
Anjelica and Emmie are regularly in York city centre on Thursdays until 6.30 pm, so if you'd like to come and meet with us for a brew and a chat, just drop us a line.
We're very flexible with when we can meet so please just let us know what's best for you.
Group Training
We pay close attention to what’s going on for grassroots groups and organisers in York and if we hear that there is something that they want to learn about, we find people with the knowledge and experience to facilitate that learning.
Our training can be online or in person, and will always be free to:

-
grassroots groups with an income of under £20,000
-
individual community organisers and activists.

We will always have some money set aside to help people cover the costs of coming to training, whether this is the cost of getting child care, the cost of travel, covering lost wages or anything else.

If there's something you would like to learn more about, please let us know by emailing us.
