There will be three pitches lasting 4 minutes each. We have a 5 minute break between each pitch.

This is your opportunity to vote for the pitch that you think will have the most positive impact on York. You will also have time to buy some of Bluebird Bakery's delicious cakes.
8.30 - 8.40 pm
The results!
We'll find out who's won the largest portion of the prize pot.
8.40 - 9 pm
Celebrate and chat.
Before we all head home, this is a chance to celebrate with all the pitchers.

How acessible is the event?The event space is all on the ground floor with accessible toilets & step free access. The bakery's small staff room (also on the ground floor) can be used as a quiet room for those who need time out (please note that Bakery staff may pop in to access lockers). We will have BSL interpreters.

What's on the menu?The stew and bread is vegan. You will be able to get a hot/soft drink of your choice included in your ticket. There is an option to buy cakes and other (non-alcoholic)drinks from Bluebird Bakery throughout the evening. Unfortunately Bluebird Bakery are unable to offer gluten-free options.

Is this an alcohol-free event?Yes. In solidarity with York's recovery community, this is an alcohol-free event.

How much are tickets?We ask that people donate a minimum of £6/ticket. This covers your food and 1x soft/hot drink. If you are able to pay more for your ticket, please do so and help increase the size of the prize pot.

Will every penny of the money I pay for my ticket go into the prize pot?Yes! If we sell all available tickets at £6 the audience will collectively raise £384 for the prize pot. If you want to donate more to the prize pot, you can make a cash donation on the night.

If 100% of the ticket cost is going to the prize pot, how is the event being paid for?Bluebird Bakery is kindly providing the venue, staff time to cook the stew and bake the bread, and their eventbrite account free of charge. York Together is covering all other costs including: Bluebird Bakery staff on the night, BSL interpreters, ticket processing costs, promotion materials etc.

Which buses stop near the Bluebird Bakery?The 1, 1A and 412 stop at the Regent Bus Stop on Acomb Rd and are a minute’s walk from the Bakery. The 24 stops at Sowerby Rd. This is 0.2 miles away and is a 5 minute walk away from Bluebird Bakery. The 4 and 16 stop at Howard Court on Green Lane. This is 0.3 miles away and is a 10 minute walk.

Is there parking available?There is plenty of free, on-street parking available in Acomb.
